Has Ezekiel’s War Already Begun?

Although many people think Ezekiel’s War is sudden, God does not actually say that.  So it is very possible that the war has already started.  The war is described in Ezekiel 38-39.

During the presidential campaign, Donald Trump’s team spoke often about moving the US embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.  But since taking office, this important issue may already be causing a conflict to erupt.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that the American embassy in Israel should be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Netanyahu’s comments at his weekly Cabinet meeting appeared aimed at countering reports that Israel was concerned about the fallout of such a move, which is vehemently opposed by the Palestinians and has sparked fears of a renewed outbreak of violence.

“I would like to clarify unequivocally that our view has always been, and continues to be, that the United States’ embassy should be here in Jerusalem,” Netanyahu said. “Jerusalem is the capital of Israel and it is appropriate that not only the American embassy will be here but that all embassies will move here and I believe that in due course most will come here, to Jerusalem.”

Iraqi Cleric Moqtada al-Sadr said “This is War on Islam”

Moving the US embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem would be a declaration of war on Islam, influential Iraqi cleric Moqtada al-Sadr said on Tuesday.

Sadr, the Shiite cleric whose militia once fought and killed hundreds if not thousands of US occupation forces in Iraq, called for the “formation of a special division to liberate Jerusalem were the decision to be implemented.”

Keep in mind over the past 15 years we have experienced four “inexplicable” events.  I believe all four are under God’s will and each moves the world further into the final days before Christ’s return.  They certainly set up Ezekiel’s War.

The four “Inexplicable” events are as follows:

1.  The United States under President Bush invaded Iraq in 2003.  Most people today cannot explain why this happened.  It is inexplicable.  But it did fracture Iraq, cause the birth of ISIS and war spilled over into Syria.  Syria has been mostly destroyed, and Iraq is more destroyed than not.  These events were coupled with the “Arab Spring” that have left Libya, Egypt, Yemen and Sudan in widespread chaos.

2. In 2014-2015 the United States under President Obama entered into a nuclear deal with Iran that gave Iran $150 billion dollars and a clear path to nuclear weapons in less than 10 years—if they follow the agreement, and just one year if they break it.  This was also inexplicable.  Iran threatens to destroy Israel every day.  Persia (Iran) is a key player in Ezekiel’s war.

3. In the summer of 2016 Turkey, a NATO ally and stable democracy turned into an Islamic republic in just one weekend.   Supposedly this was in response to a coup masterminded by an aging Muslim cleric living in Pennsylvania.  This was also inexplicable.  Turkey (Gomer and Beth Togarmah) is a key player in Ezekiel’s War.

4. The fourth inexplicable event in 2016 was the election of Donald Trump.  Against all odds Trump is the president of the United States.  What will he do to unwittingly move forward the last days?  Certainly moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem could trigger a large Islamic invasion of Israel, as Ezekiel foretold.

 Ezekiel 38 (NIV)

3 ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. 4 I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army—your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords.

5 Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, 6 also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you.’

8 In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety. 9 You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land.
Ezekiel 38 makes clear this first invasion will only occur after the Jewish remnant returns to Israel (this occurred beginning in 1948), and they have prospered, and live in peace (this is today).  Thus it could not have occurred in past history.  Persia and Turkey will lead this invasion, along with other Islamic countries such as Put, which is Libya today, Gomer and Beth Togarmah (Turkey), and Cush which is the Arabian peninsula today.

The invasion prophesied by Ezekiel occurs relatively soon after Israel’s rebirth and the ingathering of Jewish people from around the world.  All of the nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38 are Islamic.
